Accelerating pandemic response
RampUp develops versatile bacterial and mammalian cellular platforms, biomanufacturing processes and state-of-the-art analytical tools to produce vaccines and biotherapeutics ready for preclinical trials in under 100 days.
Our research focuses on preparedness for SARS-CoV-2 and avian influenza (H5N1) epidemics, although it is also applicable to other coronaviruses and avian influenza strains, and priority viruses such as Ebola, Nipah and Lassa.
Structured around five integrated Work Packages (WPs), our research covers the entire development chain, from pathogen identification to sterile fill-finish.
WORK PACKAGES
1 – Molecular Engineering of biologics
2 – Cell line, strain and vectors engineering
3 – Upstream Process Intensification
4 – Downstream Processing and Formulation
5 – Process Analytical Technologies to streamline process development and digitalization
Supporting Canadian biopharmaceutical innovation
Beyond pandemic response, RampUp’s research helps accelerate the development, optimization and manufacturing of biotherapeutics for addressing priority public health challenges. Leveraging our complementary expertise and adaptable processes, we help industry players navigate their scientific, technological and manufacturing challenges.
