RampUp is a national initiative dedicated to strengthening Canada’s readiness for future pandemics through innovation in biomanufacturing, cutting-edge research, and the training of highly qualified personnel.
We bring together leading universities, research institutions, and industry partners to accelerate the development of vaccines and biologics—from pathogen identification to clinical-scale production—ensuring rapid, reliable, and equitable access for all Canadians.

Research

We focus on readiness towards SARS-CoV-2 and Avian Flu (H5N1 type) outbreaks scenarios and aim to develop advanced bacterial and mammalian cell platforms, upstream/downstream processes, and analytical technologies to support rapid biologics production.
