About Us

RAMP-UP

Mission

The RAMP-UP initiative is committed to making Canada pandemic-ready. Our mission is to develop reliable, scalable, and adaptable biomanufacturing processes that can rapidly bridge pathogen identification with clinical-scale production of vaccines and therapeutics—ensuring timely access for all Canadians. We also aim to train the next generation of interdisciplinary experts by offering a comprehensive learning experience where talented students will get to master every feature of biomanufacturing:

Vision

Supported by the Canada Biomedical Research Fund and the Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund, RAMP-UP aims to deliver engineering-driven solutions that address the evolving needs of biopharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturing organizations, and government agencies. Our work aligns with the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and prioritizes rapid technology transfer from discovery to commercialization.
