Stair Program
WHO CAN ENROL?
The Stair Program is open to master’s and doctoral students enrolled at Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal or Université Laval whose research is supervised or co-supervised by a member of RampUp.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM OFFER?
Grants
– $10,000 per year for a maximum of two years for M.Sc. students
– $10,000 per year for a maximum of three years for Ph.D. students
Grant renewal is conditional on successful completion of 9 course credits and participation in the program’s interdisciplinary training modules
Students and research associates with young children may also be eligible for additional financial support through the Parent-Thèse program, including reimbursement of childcare costs. This funding is available upon request and subject to approval.
Interdisciplinary training modules
The Stair Program includes 80 hours of training to deepen expertise in areas such as:
Interdisciplinary collaboration
– Teamwork and group dynamics
– Contemporary societal and scientific challenges
– Good Manufacturing Practices
– Regulatory processes
– Research ethics and proposal writing
– Drug development and IP management
These training modules alternate between Montreal and Quebec City, with accommodation and travel expenses covered by the program.
They are designed and delivered in collaboration with:

– Ethics Bowl Canada
– Bridge Research Consortium
